COMPUTER SOCITY OF INDIA

The Computer Society of India

Computer Society of India is the first and largest body of computer professionals in India. It was started on 6 March 1965 by a few computer professionals and has now grown to be the national body representing computer professionals. It has 72 chapters across India, 511 student branches, and more than 100,000 members.s.

The Computer Society of India is a non-profit professional meet to exchange views and information learn and share ideas. The wide spectrum of members is committed to the advancement of theory and practice of Computer Engineering and Technology Systems, Science and Engineering, Information Processing and related Arts and Sciences

The Society also encourages and assists professionals to maintain integrity and competence of the profession and fosters a sense of partnership amongst members. Besides the activities held at the Chapters and Student Branches, the Society also conducts periodic conferences, seminars..

The high end computing nodes are in the network of JCET through which simultaneously many users can access any of the servers in additions to other users from their department through campus network. About 1500 users can simultaneously access the facilities of JCET from their departments.

CSI Membership in JCET

The Society is targeted at the IT professionals and also user community at large. Hence the membership of the Society is open to all professionals involved in the field of information technology. JCET established the CSI Student Chapter in year 2006. Our college regularly updates the annual Membership for the students and faculty members. Our management motivates to increase the CSI membership by providing 50% fee concession for the students. In Every month the members get the Magazines and update the recent trends in IT.

ACTIVITIES

ThOur college regularly organizes workshops, seminars conventions, and technical events under the CSI Student Chapters for the benefit of students and faculty members.
